E-sign for realtors, without another subscription

EsigIt lets a real estate agent send a listing agreement, buyer agreement or disclosure for signature and pay $1.99 only when every signer finishes. At 5 documents a month that's $119.40 a year. DocuSign's Real Estate Starter plan is $120.

If you're a NAR member sending more than 10 documents a month, DocuSign's REALTORS® plan costs less than EsigIt. The table below shows exactly where the line is.

EsigIt is our product. DocuSign's prices come from its own real estate pricing page, checked October 15, 2026.

How much does e-signing cost for a real estate agent in 2026?

EsigIt costs a real estate agent $1.99 a signed document, with nothing upfront. DocuSign's real estate plans were $120 to $300 a year when we read DocuSign's real estate pricing page on October 15, 2026.

DocuSign's REALTORS® plan is unlimited under a reasonable-use policy and only for NAR members. At 10 a month they're $1.20 apart. Past that, it wins, and you should buy it.

Below 10 a month, or if you're not a NAR member, EsigIt costs less, and a slow month costs $0. Every DocuSign plan is on our DocuSign pricing page.

Which real estate documents can you send with EsigIt?

EsigIt takes any real estate document that's a finished PDF and that the ESIGN Act of 2000 doesn't exclude. In practice that's most of an agent's paperwork:

  • Listing agreements.
  • Written buyer agreements.
  • Purchase agreements, counteroffers and addenda.
  • Seller disclosures and acknowledgments.
  • Residential and commercial leases.

Not on EsigIt: anything that needs a notary, like most deeds, and default, foreclosure or eviction notices on someone's primary home, which ESIGN excludes. Details are on our e-signature legality page.

Do buyers have to sign a written agreement before a showing?

For many agents, yes. EsigIt's reading of NAR's consumer guide: as of August 17, 2024, buyers are asked to sign a written buyer agreement before touring a home, in person or virtually. NAR says it isn't required just to walk into an open house on your own.

That's one more signature before the first showing, often sent from a car. It's what EsigIt's phone signing is built for.

What if your forms software exports a locked PDF?

EsigIt handles it at upload. Real estate forms software often exports PDFs with an owner password. The old EsigIt broke on exactly those files at the last signer's click, and the 2026 rebuild checks them at upload instead.

EsigIt checks the file the moment you drop it. A locked PDF gets rebuilt page by page into a clean copy, and EsigIt tells you the text in that copy won't be selectable. A file that can't be read at all is refused right then, with the reason, not after your seller signs.

How do two sellers sign the same listing agreement?

EsigIt has them sign in the order you set. Add both sellers with their own email addresses. Seller 1 gets the link first, and seller 2 gets theirs when seller 1 finishes.

Each seller gets their own 6-digit code by email, so a married couple sharing one inbox should still use two addresses. That way each code proves a different person's inbox. You pay $1.99 once, when the second seller finishes.

What does your seller or buyer see?

Your client sees the whole document on their phone before EsigIt asks them for anything. Then they enter the 6-digit code from their email, agree to sign electronically, and sign with a finger or by typing their name. No app, no account.

When everyone has signed, each person gets the signed PDF. You also get the completion certificate: names, emails, times, IP addresses, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the signed file. Put both in the transaction file.

What should you check before you send?

EsigIt can't fix a wrong PDF after the first signature, so run these 5 checks first.

  1. Final version only. Property address, price, dates and names all correct. Replacing a PDF mid-signing means starting over.
  2. The email they actually read. The code goes there. A typo means a seller who never gets it.
  3. Signing order. Who signs first, and does your broker or the other side sign after the client?
  4. Every signature, initial and date placed. Page through the whole form. Initials on page 4 are the ones people miss.
  5. A heads-up text. Tell your client the email is coming and who it's from, so they look for it and trust it.

What doesn't EsigIt do for real estate?

EsigIt is a $1.99 signing tool in 2026, not a transaction platform. It doesn't do these, and some agents need them:

  • No forms library. Bring your own finished PDF from your forms software or association.
  • No transaction management, checklists or broker review queue.
  • No MLS, CRM or forms-software integration.
  • No brokerage or team accounts. One login, one sender.
  • No SMS delivery. Links and codes go by email.
  • No notary, no ID check beyond the emailed code.

If your brokerage already pays for a platform that includes e-signatures, use it. EsigIt is for the agent who doesn't have one, or doesn't want a seat for a few documents a month.

Questions from agents

Is an e-signed listing agreement legally binding?
Yes, in the United States, under the federal ESIGN Act of 2000 and your state's electronic transactions law, as long as the signers agreed to sign electronically and meant to sign. Check your brokerage's own rules too.
Do my sellers or buyers need an account?
No. They open a link, enter a 6-digit code EsigIt emails them, and sign on their phone or computer.
Does EsigIt connect to my forms software?
No. EsigIt has no integrations. Export the finished form as a PDF and drop it into EsigIt.
What does EsigIt cost for a real estate agent?
$1.99 per document, charged once when every signer has finished. No seat, no annual plan. A document nobody finishes costs nothing.
